Angry Bird Birthday Invitations...

Rainee had been wanting an iPad tablet for sooooo long... that back in October I told, I would try to get her one... BUT... it would have to be for her birthday... AND...  she could either have a party OR a tablet... not both... so Rainee decided on the tablet... sooooooooo there wasn't going to be a party...

But as her birthday came closer... AND... mommy being mommy... I couldn't let her birthday go by

without her sharing it with a few friends & family... so when I told her we could have a cupcake party... no fancy thing birthday... what would she like this years birthday theme to be... she said an Angry Bird Party... And of course, me being me, I could just buy invitations... I had to make them... so here they are... Rainee's Angry Bird Invitations... and I love love love them...

Now that they're done... I've had so many people wanting to buy them... I'm thinking about putting the a digi file along with instruction on how to make them in my etsy store... what do you think???

Photos of the party will be coming... have a fabulous Wednesday...

Steve, Happy 9th...

Today is my 9th wedding anniversary. And since Steve & I met at Starbucks I thought it only appropriate to make a card with something from Starbucks. So, this card is made from the cups they were using during Valentine's Day... super simple... but I love how this card turned out...

B is for... all things baby....

A friend of mine, just recently had her first grand-baby boy...  and although I've had her card made since the baby was born... I just couldn't bring myself to give it to her until I could make some baby CakePops for her to go along with.... I've been so grateful for this cooler weather, that I finally was able to make them for her.

So here is her baby bottle card.... along with baby boy CakePops... I did try to make a 1/2 dozen for her... buttttttttt.... the first couple ended up turning out more like baby monsters instead of cute cuddly babies! Seriously!!! Thankfully, Rainee loved these odd monster babies... & gobbled them up! LOL!!!

Thanks for peeking in on my little corner of the world... enjoy your day!!!

Set of Mini Bike Cards...

I had such fun doing the stamped bike card the other day... I thought with all my scraps I'd make a few mini cards. The cute little mini bikes are cut out of the Jillibean Soup bike background paper. This mini set cards are the perfect size (2.5"x4") for a little note and will make a lovely little gift for a friend....

Thanks for cruzing by today... Enjoy to{day} & your every{day} moments!!

A Basket Full Of Wishes...

Well, it's hard to believe autumn is right around the corner... and only a few days left of summer... I thought I'd make one last card as we ride into cool weather...

I made this card using Jillibean Soup's - Blossom Soup & Watermelon Gazpacho Collections... plus the Jillibean Soup Unity Stamp - Basket Full of Wishes - - which I am sooooooo loving.... and of course my cloud die-cut from... Papertrey Ink...

I'll be linking this card (and a few others) to Paper Issues "Tree Hugger" theme... It's pretty much 'anything goes' as long as you use paper.... which mean I'll also be linking this card up to The Squirrel And The Fox and Cute Card Thursday... with their 'anything goes' challenges too.

Thanks for dropping by to see what I've been up to. Hopefully something here inspires you to play with your paper stash! Have a lovely day!

I Love You Every{day} Card...

Every{day} I send little notes in Rainee's lunch box, but once a month I make her a new card to keep in a baggie for her lunch box. It's something she looks forward to because she never knows when it's going to just show up and make her lunch special.

I love finding new was to use this calendar paper from Creative Café... plus I recently snagged these adorable Jillibean Soup tags (which I love)... I also used... colored paper strips from my scrap stash, a couple of brads, bakers twine and my handy-dandy-crimper for the heart... and inside it says... "I Love You More Every{day}"!!!

Well that's if for to{day}... I really appreciate you visiting... so thanks for skipping by—& leaving your lovely comments!

A Daisy Thanks...

Happy Tuesday!!! I love these daisy... and I still have sooooo many left, that when I went to make this Thank You card... I made sure to use one of them.... they are always so bright and cheery... This time I added a button and a brad, instead of the yellow checked center it came with. I love changing things up. Well, that's it for today...

Believe In Yourself...

Every day I put some kind of little note inside Rainee's lunch... sometimes I write the note on her napkin... sometimes it's on top of her sandwich... she loves finding them. And she makes sure to tell me where she found it that day.

But along with those notes,  each week I also make her a new card... and inside I put something encouraging to help her get through a difficult day or week. It's another way to show Rainee, I'm thinking of her. And this year she really needs that extra little bit of love... Two of her friends moved away this summer, and although she has other friends, she's finding herself eating and playing alone most days... so those notes (and my prayers) are a little bright spots in her day!!! I think it's important to encourage, support and pray for our kids... because they can have some tough days too!

I hope your day is filled with lots of hugs & kisses from the little ones in your life... have a wonderful day!

Welcome Baby Card...

This card is from the Baby Shower we went to last weekend. The last time I used this baby stamp... (here & here) I told you how much I loved this stamp... it's perfect for a boy or a girl... it's so versatile... don't ya just love stamps like that?

As for the shower... this was Rainee's very first baby shower and she had such a great time! She loved all the shower games... and she's still talking about how we couldn't say BABY... she thought that was hard and a bit silly... because everything was about babies!!!

Next... I realized this weekend, I haven't posted the Father's Day card I made for Steve. For the card, I used an actual A&W can and cut out the logo. For his gift... I used a your-choice six pack carton from BevMo... then rolled up the shirt & pants, and added one of his favorite beers to the gift.

Well that's it for today... see you tomorrow...

Thank You Teacher Card...

With only 13 days of school left I thought I should start thinking about a Thank You Teacher card... So this weekend I managed to squeezed a tiny bit of scrapping in to make this card for Rainee's teacher. I think crayons and pencils are the perfect touch when it comes to anything school... so of course I had to use some on my card.

Where did this First Grade year go??? I'm having a very hard time wrapping my head around the fact that school is almost over... and I'm looking for an end of the year teacher gift... Do you have any ideas?? Would love your hear them... I seriously don't know what I'm going to do...

Well, that's it for today... thanks so much for stopping by... I hope your Tuesday is lovely...

I love you Mother's Day Card...

This I love you Mother's Day Card... has something I absolutely adore... it's this wonderful "I love you" paper. I've been using it for years... because of it's endless possibilities... and because it goes with everything... and anything... whenever Joann's or Michael's have a paper sale... I have to grab a couple more to keep on hand.

Is anyone else obsessed with a paper or embelly you make sure you always have on hand for any project that comes along?? Or is that just me?

Well, that's it for today... thanks for stopping by my blog... enjoy the rest of your day!!!

Happy Little Birdhouse...

Really quick... here's another card for the crafts show on Saturday.... I am now down to scraps of this Kraft Bird Paper by Jillibean Soup. I know they make it in other colors... but it's just not the same as the Kraft paper.... I've been savoring each little piece I use... so it makes me rather sad, that I have only scraps left... I love this paper.

Enjoy your Thursday!!!

Butterfly cards...

I guess you could say I have a theme going this week... butterflies! Since I still had a bunch of butterfly embellies out for my last layout, I decided to go ahead and make some cards for a local Spring Craft Fair I've signed up for... where I'll have cards, homemade embellies and my EverydayFrames. A few of us moms from Rainee's school are doing it together... so it should be pretty fun!!! I'll have to let you know how it goes!

Anyway... here is the beginnings a card set I'm making... didn't I tell you I had a theme going!

Okay... so before I published this post... I had been checking back and forth with SketchyThursdays posts... so I could let you know EverydayScrapbook will be sponsoring their giveaway this next week... so you'd be sure to play along for a chance to win a Magnet EverydayFrame... And while I was waiting for new sketch and the sponsor post to go up... I found out I was randomly chosen for SketchyThursdays giveaway from Sweet Peach Crop Shop PLUS my layout was picked as a fave for this week! Can you say... happy!!! WOW... I think my Thursday is off to a really fantastic start and it's still early... I wonder what else is in store for my day!!! Thanks SketchyThursdays!!!

Tissue Paper Blooms... Redo... Photos fixed!!!

Don't know what happened to my Tissue Paper Blooms tutorial post... but here it is again... thanks for letting me know the photos weren't coming through.... soooo let's try this post again shall we...

While I was helping out in my daughters class with tissue paper... I was thinking what a great material to make a flower bloom for card and my scrapbooking. So I came home and started playing around with tissue paper... and here's what I came up with. For this flower I used:

1. 3 different shades of Tissue Paper.

2. Round objects (or templates) for 4 circle sizes.

3. A pencil.

4. A pair of scissors.

5. Glue dots.

6. Flower Centers - I used Pearl stickers

Making 4 different size circles. Trace your circles onto several layers of tissue paper...
Cut out your circles.

Use one circle from the 4 different size circles. Layer the circles... change colors for each layer
(I started & ended with the same color). Then place glue dots on the backs of the top 3 layers.
With glue dot tissue paper stacks... put on the center of your bloom.
Crinkle the tissue paper.
Start to open, then smash it up some more... the more crinkles the better.
Open up and fluff up each layer, until it exactly as you want your bloom.
And here's one of my bloom on a card. Enjoy!
