EverydayScrapbook Challenge #4

This is the last week of our month of challenges... you still have time for you to do them... REMEMBER... for every challenge you do, I'll put your name in the bucket for a chance to win this month's Everyday Blog Candy. I'm excited to see what you do with each challenge...

This week's challenge is... "Puddles & Rainbows"

Now that spring is here and there are such beautiful rainbows after the rain fall... I decided this weeks challenge should include:

• Polka dot patterned paper (as much or as little as you'd like)
• Some puddles. (for example: actual pictures of puddles OR make a puddle on your layout OR maybe you have a muddy puddle poem you've been dying to use)
• A rainbow... add a rainbow of color with anything you'd like. (for example: flowers, brads, ribbons, etc.).

Enjoy the rain and try not to get your feet wet in all those puddles!

When you've finished the challenges, upload them to your blog or gallery, then come back here and leave me a link to your creation. On Monday, May 11th, I'll announce the Everyday Blog Candy winner!!! (Blog Candy is yet to be determined - I need to find my stash - it's in one of those boxes to be unpacked!!! The winner will be picked either from a bucket by Rainee, or on random.org)

Q&A About The Challenges!

I've had a few questions about the EverydayScrapbook Challenges... and hopefully these will answer them...

Q: Do I have to use Easter photos AND the layout or I just need to use that layout?
A: Use the Layout for sure and if you want to use Easter... that's great!

Q: Can we still post a layout from last week's challenge?
A: Haven's YES!... The Challenges are for the whole month of April... So if you do
1 challenge you have 1 entry... if you do all 4 challenges you have 4 entries for the Blog Candy.

Either Rainee will pick out of a bucket or I'll use Random.org for the winner the first week in May... so ultimately you have 4 chances to be a winner...

For questions you can email me or make a comment & I'll post the answers...
Have fun! I can't wait to see what you come up with and good luck!!!

Goodbye & Hello

Saying goodbye to our house and hello to our new one. Today... the house is ours. We signed papers on Wednesday, and it became ours today!!! Very excited to see what the new place will bring for our family.

Our house now... it's a lovely 2-story Tutor Home... which we've made so many memories in... it's where Steve and I started our life together... where we brought Rainee home for the first time... where she... had her first bath, took her first step, had her first Christmas, and celebrated her birthdays!!! It will always hold a special place in my heart... It will be missed.

And our new house... is a sweet one story house with lovely shade trees... it will be where Rainee will start Kindergarten... and where we as a family will build more wonderful memories... I'm excited for the new things ahead!!! YEAH!

Rainee Says...

Rainee always seems to have something cute to say, but lately some of the things... I can't believe they came out of her mouth... I thought I'd share a few that made me smile...

  • Mommy, we had this conversation before... you know we did. Don't you remember?
  • I've got some good news and some bad news... the good news is I will love you forever... and the bad news is I love you more than daddy.
  • ShhhShh... you tell me to ShhhShh and I'll ShhhShh... ShhhShh... you tell me to ShhhShh and I'll ShhhShh... and this continues over and over and over - - - I asked her about this and she said - well, you know daddy says it with shut up and that's a bad word... so I decided ShhhShh was much better... I think we need to tell daddy about it.... don't you?
  • Accidents happen, mom... right?
  • Is daddy like Champ... active but lazy?
  • Mommy I haven't done all my check list today... I need to eat a cupcake, and that will be it. Do we have any? (me) No. (Rainee) Well, I guess I won't be finishing that list today... maybe tomorrow.
  • Making decisions are hard... it hurts my brain. Do they hurt yours mommy?
  • Want to know what the best part of my day was? (me) yes. (Rainee) You, mommy... you were the best part of my day. I love you.
Have you heard any good ones lately??? If so... what are they, I'd love to hear them.

EverydayScrapbook Challenge #1

It's a bit hard trying to do a video with packing and the move coming up any day now... so this month I thought I'd do some challenges to see what you come up with. Here's how it will go... Each week I'll post a new challenge, when you've finished your layout, upload your it to your blog or gallery, then come back here and leave me a link to your creation. Then for every challenge you do, I'll put your name in the bucket for a chance to win this month's Everyday Blog Candy. (which is yet to be determined - I need to find my stash - it's in one of those boxes to be unpacked!!!)

I hope you join in... This week's challenge is...

Scrap A Daily Routine -

We all have things we do on a regular basis, even things we don't realize we do daily. It can be you putting on your make-up - to - the every 2-hour feedings - to - something your child does in their daily routine...anything! What is the one thing you haven't really noticed you (or your child) doing every day and has now become a routine.

Mine: Every morning, no matter what time Rainee gets up, she comes downstairs... and the first thing she wants to do, is go give Champ a good morning hug... and he in return, he gives her his good morning licks and kisses. It's adorable. I love seeing her get all excited when he gives her those kisses.... it's our latest good morning routine, and I wouldn't miss it for anything. What's yours?

I can't wait to see what you come up with... :D

Materials: Paper: Dream Steet, Three Bugs In A Rug,
Stickers: Creative Imaginations, Lil' Davis Designs, Calendar Pages: free from the mail, Tags: Colorbok, Brads: Creative Imaginations

Still Packing!

I think today I've pretty much finished with as much packing as I can do for now. We're going to be signing the final paperwork early this week... yeah!!! So by the end of the week the new house should be ours.

We've decided to move one room at a time... since the new place isn't too far from where we are now... and with escrow closing before the old house does... so, I get to take my time a bit with this move. I can unpack and have empty boxes for all those last minute things... can I say I'm really tired of boxes everywhere... I just can't wait until this is a done deal and we're settled!
