Why is it, that whenever you're not busy... all is well with the family. But the moment you're start doing something... ANYTHING... cleaning the house, scrapbooking, making dinner or talking on the phone... everyone needs you.
I'm just curious... am I the only one this happens to??? Does this ever happen to you? Why do you think this happens?? I'd love to know....

I'm convinced it happens because God wants me to slow down and wants to redirect me to where my focus should really be. 9 times out of 10 there will be some kind of nugget of joy in it for me...if I'm looking and not just waiting for this time to be over. Soon our kids will be all grown up and won't need us anymore. Then we will have all the time in the world for ourselves! ;D
There is a dude named "murphy" who controls all of this...as in "Murphy's law"!!
You know what they say, "if you want something done, give it to a busy person"...it is just the dynamics of the world. Those of us who know better ALWAYS make time for us and, so what, if the dishwasher doesn't get loaded until the morning....lol!!! Have a great week...Jen is correct, it will be over before you know it and you will be wondering how on earth you ever got it all done.
Later,

Michelle,
We (as believers in Christ) are supposed to be lead by the Holy Spirit, but on the whole we are lead by everything BUT. Then when things get wonked out we wonder why. The bible says the most feeble is the most necessary and we tend to leave the weakest links for last. Jesus cousin John had just been killed and he wanted (naturally) to get alone, but because he was lead by the Holy Spirit he went on do the most awesome of his miracles. Everyone needed him, yet he himself had needs and let them go to fill the needs of others. He was lead by the spirit of compassion in spite of hunger, danger, loneliness or exhaustion!
All the TIME...all the TIME!!! LOL!!!! LOVEEEEEEEEEEEE that cute photo! :):):):):):):):):):):):)
When Kain arrives and requires me when I'm busy I have a trick: I always tell him that he has to organize a picnic or to build a garage or ... while I'm doing my things and at the end we will play together. So I have some time, he can put some effort in preparing something for his mommy (as I tell him that I want something special and new) and after that we are prepared and satified to spend time together and I noticed he loves doing this. Well, I have to admit that sometimes this doesn't work! Why this happens? I think they just check if we are available all the time :-)
Have a nice day!
K so all these ladies have good sayings. Yet they fail to state the obvious, that you have a lil young lady that needs quite a bit of attention due to the fact that she is learning from the best mom that she could ever ask for. And guess what? Give up! Well they don't stop needing even at the age of adulthood. I'm blessed in that since. I love having them need me still. Yet it's much easier to say not now or wait till i'm finished or put some time aside for that. Lots of Love, Kisses and Hugs. Hope you got the pics I sent this morning. Lizzy :-)
I feel it is that way for everyone. My kids are fine until it is time form me to cook or take a shower. For this reason I have given up doing either. (LOL). Seriously, I suppose getting them involved in the cooking process would really help some of it, but I don't know how fix the shower issue.
What Jen said is so true! Except for this- my kids are grown and contrary to what I had been told, they still need me... even more. Sad to say, I have less time now than when they were all at home. But I am adjusting as we all do. Perhaps life will slow down, but I doubt it. It really comes down to choices and it is no longer choosing between good and bad.., it is choosing the best priority or choosing between several good things, if that makes sense. OK... I am rambling I suppose... but you got me on this one Michelle cuz my life has been nothing like I had wanted or expected it to be this year! But I am learning and growing, so that it good.
