St. Patrick's Day... Mustache Bash... & A Freebie...

No we're not Irish... but ever since Rainee was in Pre-school, we've been doing a little St. Patrick's Day celebration... each year we do something different... Sometimes it's just Rainee & I... other times she has a couple of friends over... but this year... I thought it would be fun to do a St. Patrick's Day Mustache Bash... because Leprechaun's do have mustaches don't they??? And they are red, right?

at etsy shop
I wanted to share the invitation I made for her friends (in my etsy shop)...  and a few mustache signs I've been working on with a little Irish twist...

I found some of these signs and reworked them to match my St. Patrick's Day theme... but others... I just couldn't resist to make and have fun with for our little party...

PLUS PLUS PLUS... just for YOU a cute little FREEBIE Leprechaun... print it out and wrap it around a toilet paper roll and oila... there you have the cutest little Leprechaun...

Well... I really 'mustache' I've got so many ideas going through my head... I'm hoping I'll have enough time to get them all done...

What's Cooking To{day}...

My friend, Pam, received a photo this week on FaceBook... and when I saw it, I thought... hmmmm... this is something my family love... I would LOVE...

So, if you are a pancakes & bacon lover, like I am... you're going to enjoy this...

Make pancake batter (see below for recipe) & set aside... cook bacon until it's mostly done... heat griddle... when griddle is hot, put on a piece of bacon, then cover the bacon with pancake batter... turn the pancake when ready...  plate... add syrup... and enjoy!!!

These were duh-mazing... can't believe I didn't think of this myself... Let me know what you think??

PANCAKES
2 Cups Milk                   1 tsp Lemon Juice
2 Eggs                          1/8 Cup Veg Oil OR Applesauce
2 Tbsp Sugar                1 3/4 Cups Flour
2 tsp Baking Powder     1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt

Pour lemon juice in milk and set aside until milk curdles. In a large bowl place all dry ingredients. Add egg, milk, eggs. Mix together. DO NOT OVER MIX... Mixture should be lumpy for for best pancakes. Heat griddle, place pancake batter in griddle... when they bubble and get a bit dry around the edges... it's time to turn them... finish cooking. Add butter & syrup to taste... enjoy!!!

Knott's Berry Farm Field Trip...

Today Rainee's third grade class goes on their field trip to Knott's Berry Farm... It's an educational field trip so they'll be learning about how the Old West lived, the American Indians & they get to pan for gold... plus the other treat for the day is one ride on the Log Ride...

And... me being me... I of course HAVE TO go as a parent chaperon.... But I wasn't so sure it  was going to happen with our house getting sickly... First me, and a couple days later... Rainee caught the bug... but with LOTS OF REST... tons of chicken soup... & my fav.... ColdEaze... we're both doing better and are all ready for a day of fun!!! Let the day begin!
