Photography Class. I remember my first camera... a Kodak Pocket Instamatic... wish I still had it, just for fun. My next camera was my first real camera... a Nikon... when I got it, it was already 20 years old... so not it's at least 50 years old... but I love that Nikon. I love the photos I get with it. I love how it really isn't me taking the photos, but it's this amazing camera capturing what I see. I remember when I was in my college photography course... I took that camera EVERYWHERE! It always had film and I would always stop for that perfect shot. No matter what I was doing or where I was going... because my professor said, "The perfect photo, only happens once. So stop to take it, you will never be disappointed that you took the time to take the shot." After that course, I took so many photos with that Nikon.... then just as it came into my life it was set aside.... because... I went digital.
My first digital, was a point and shoot... my next was an upgrade... but still a point and shoot. My next digital camera came gift wrapped as a birthday present, last year.... it's a Nikon D5000 SLR (which included classes). Well it's been nearly a year and although I love my camera... there is so much about it I don't know and it frustrates me.... so I decided no matter what I was going in life around me... I was going to take the next session of classes... I wasn't going to let life continue to creep in and take away this time for learning.
Even though it was a struggle getting there with only one car.... but, I made it. I got there... and I can't tell you how happy I am. I'm learning things I knew... but so many things I didn't know that I can do with my SLR. I like the review parts... but I'm so excited about all the new things... it's AMAZING!!! It's WONDERFUL... I can't wait to see what's next every week....
So this week I'm grateful I have the time to take this class. I'm grateful for my transportation, my baby-sitting so I'm able to do this. I'm grateful for all the fun, new and exciting things I'm learning... and I look forward to what the outcome will be.

That has to be a challenge in itself to only have 1 car to share. Good for you that you've been able to get to your classes!
